Nomination Of NAWBO SJ Board 2016-2017

“Do not wait on a leader…look in the mirror, its you!”

— Katherine Miracle, speaker

Dear Colleague:

We need a few good women to help us run the South Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners.

This past year has been one of wonderful growth and accomplishments. Our chapter has connected with a number of local legislators such as Assemblywoman Pam Lampitt, Senator Diane Allen, and Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno. Our annual Beyond the Glass Ceiling Awards Gala was a huge success and received press coverage across media channels including the Courier Post, SJ Biz, the Burlington County Times, and Channel 3 News. We partnered with the Small Business Administration to bring the South Jersey community an interactive series of workshops on women-owned business certification. And more much!

We must now choose a slate of women that will continue to lead us forward and continue to provide our SJ business community with quality educational, networking and leadership opportunities for women business owners.  Please consider submitting your name and also the names of other women business owners who you feel would make good board members.

The benefits of being a board member include being able to give back to the women’s business community; involvement in public and community policy; personal connections to hundreds of other business owners regionally and nationally; and building business relationships with representatives from major corporations.   This is a great opportunity for our members to gain board experience which will strengthen your skill set and assist in your professional advancement.  Being a board member is the opportunity to make a difference in the professional and personal lives of women business owners.

While previous board experience is a plus it is not necessary. We are looking for women business owners that are team players, good communicators, and big vision thinkers who are also willing to roll up their sleeves and get the work done, You must be a NAWBO member to be considered.

Please insert names for the following open board positions to be elected.
