Shattered the Glass Ceiling Award – Mindy
Holman, Holman Automotive Group

Mindy Holman joined Holman Automotive Group more than 25 years ago
as a management trainee; today she heads the company as President and
CEO. During her tenure, she has served in numerous capacities, including
F&I Manager at Holman Lincoln Mercury and General Manager, first
of Holman Hyundai and then Saturn of Mount Laurel. In 1994 she was
named Vice Chairwoman of the corporate holding and management company, Holman Enterprises and, in 2003, President and Vice Chairwoman of Holman Enterprises. In 2006, her position was expanded to include the title of Chief Executive Officer of the Holman Automotive Group.

Legislator of the Year – Carmen Rodriguez, Camden
County Freeholder

As a teacher and the mother of four children, Freeholder Rodriguez
knows the value of strong families and the power that education brings
to young people. Her education and experience as a teacher and a parent
motivated her to expand her role as a public servant, becoming the
first Hispanic member of the Camden County Board of Freeholders. She
is the liaison to the Board of Social Services, helping those in need.
She expanded the Code Blue protocol for cold weather to include a new
Code Blue Warming site in downtown Camden, where the homeless can come to get warm on the coldest winter days. She proactively works with
agencies to find permanent homes for the homeless.

Business Advocate of the Year – Sarah Piddington,
Rowan University

Sarah Piddington has worked for the Rohrer College of Business at
Rowan University for six years and served as Interim Director of the
Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship for the past two years.
She has served as manager of the Rohrer College of Business Incubator
in addition to outreach work for the Rohrer College of Business. Sarah
works with small and start-up business both outside and within the
university through the delivery of educational programming in workshops,
seminars and networking events as well as coordination of the Rohrer
College of Business project based learning program that assigns student
teams to solve real-world business problems. Additionally, she has
taken on the role of Interim Director of the South Jersey Technology
Park at Rowan University.

In 2000, Ms. Evans-Colquitt established a 501(c)3 community nonprofit
organization, Image and Attitude, to address the marketability
of low-income individuals striving to achieve economic self-sufficiency.
Image and Attitude is unique and the first in Camden County to create
a “career closet” to assist individuals transitioning from welfare
to work by providing ‘gently-used’ professional attire, and customer
service training to help ensure their success to employment. Tammy
knows from experience that confidence is what really gives you the
upper hand in any situation, and it is confidence that she wants the
women and men to wear well, most of all.
