2010 Beyond the Glass Ceiling Awards
South Jersey, NJ – The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO®) held their annual Beyond the Glass Ceiling Awards dinner and program event on November 10th of 2010. Each year, the NAWBO South Jersey chapter recognizes outstanding leaders, mentors & role models in the local community. This year’s participation broke various records including event sponsorship and attendee numbers. With an increase of 58% in community participation, the chapter is both grateful and enthused about the 2010 participation given that most regional award events find it difficult to increase numbers in this challenging economic time. This becomes a valuable increase in the ability to fund the NAWBO South Jersey Education & Scholarship funds for area professionals seeking to start or grow businesses in South Jersey. The Education Fund is the chapter’s sole resource for providing membership stipends, scholarships and program opportunities including the annual Conference and Public Policy Days on Capital Hill. Growth in these areas is invaluable to the continued strength of the chapter’s intent to offer its members the best opportunities and resources for making their business dreams a reality.
